A Course in Miracles class

Course Description:

This course is designed to delve into the fascinating realms of Magical Thinking and Miracle Mindedness, two intriguing psychological concepts that often intersect with spirituality, religion, and personal belief systems. Despite their similarities, these two concepts are fundamentally different in their approach to understanding and interacting with the world.

Magical Thinking refers to the belief that one's thoughts, words, or actions can influence the course of events in the physical world. It is often associated with superstition, rituals, and a causal relationship between unrelated events. On the other hand, Miracle Mindedness is a concept rooted in spiritual teachings, particularly from 'A Course in Miracles'. It emphasizes a shift in perception from fear to love, fostering a mindset that perceives miracles as natural occurrences.

Throughout this course, students will explore the origins, development, and use of both Magical Thinking and Miracle Mindedness. We will examine the psychological underpinnings of these concepts and their impact on human behavior.

The course will also highlight the key differences between these two concepts, focusing on their distinct approaches to causality, perception, and reality. Students will engage in critical analysis of their thoughts and beliefs, participate in thought-provoking discussions, and develop their own perspectives on these two modes of thought.

By the end of the course, students will have a comprehensive understanding of Magical Thinking and Miracle Mindedness, enabling them to discern between these two concepts and appreciate how they contribute to human understanding and experience.

Whether you're a curious learner, a psychology enthusiast, or a spiritual seeker, this class will open your eyes to new perspectives and empower you to harness the power of your mind.
